Surgical mortality and type of anesthesia providerIn this research article, the authors studied the effect of type of anesthesia provider on surgical mortality associated with selected surgical procedures performed on Medicare beneficiaries. Their findings indicate that for the surgical procedures included in this study, the type of anesthesia provider does not affect inpatient surgical mortality.
