Every April, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) observes Celebrate Diversity Month with our annual “I AM ME” campaign.
I Am Me is an annual AANA social media campaign celebrating diversity and inclusion within the nurse anesthesia profession. Every April—aka Celebrate Diversity Month—Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and anesthesia students are encouraged to share their "I Am Me" statement with colleagues. Get to know your fellow CRNAs and students who submitted "I Am Me" statements in 2018 and 2019 below. We anticipate opening submissions for 2020 sometime in March. We hope to see your submission here next year! #IAmMe
Nearly 53,000 strong, the AANA acknowledges the differences in race, gender, ethnicity, language, cultural and religious beliefs, and socio-economic status that our CRNA and SRNA members bring to the nurse anesthesia profession.
